The Boots & Barkley Corrugate Scratching Post is available at Target, but it is not a product that I would recommend for adult cats. The scratching post retails for $ 14.99 and the corrugated scratching post refills retail for $ 10.89. The concept behind the scratching post is nice, but the execution has been poorly done. The base measures 11 3/4″ x 11 3/4″ and overall it stands 21 1/2.” The top is removable so that the cardboard squares can be removed and replaced with refills. The base has a rubber pad attached to the bottom making it non-skid and safe for all floor surfaces, the one good thing about the scratching post. The problem is that the post is very wobbly and the cardboard center spins when a cat tries to scratch it. I personally would pay more for a product that doesn’t wobble and doesn’t fall over when one of my adult cats decide to use it. A sturdier scratching post can be obtained from practically any pet store for about $ 5 more. My mom and I both purchased this product at the same time and with the one that she purchased the entire post would spin so its not that I received a defective product, it’s just poorly designed. The post may be sufficient for kittens, but kittens will quickly outgrow this product.
